I bought an Evil Twin Imperial Biscotti Break a few weeks ago and don't know what the date code means. It's on the bottom of the bottle 15/228/019/13/09:56. Haven't seen a code like this before. Anyone know?

The typically use best before dates, just guessing best before August 16, 2015

Yeah, I thought maybe bottled January 19, 2013 @ 9:56 and best before August 16, 2015. Trying to figure out how old it is.

I want to see a pic? When I was at Westbrook we did IBB and never date coded any evil twin. Just wondering if they started. Any WB bottles at the time had date month and year clearly marked. Did the place in CT start doing IBB?

Just curious if you ever got an answer on this. I have a bottle that is 'Best By 2015' but I'm trying to find out how old it is.

I found a similar code on the bottom of a bottle of KRBC Just Outstanding and someone from there told me it was coded by the bottle-makers, not them. Wonder if that's the case here, too.

I find a lot of my evil twin bottles have different types of bottle dating...some have julian, some bottling date....never seen anything like you are showing.

I almost never read the little stories about the beer on the labels, which is where it says 'Best before 2015'. Must have looked at the bottle ten times before reading the story and seeing that at the end. Can't think of another beer that has the date after the story. Still doesn't tell me how old it is though.

Crazy, never seen a date on the bottom of one of those bottles. Let me ask someone who is still working there.

Talked to my friend who is still there, no bottles are dated on the bottom, this must be some sort of anomaly. It could have come from the manufacturer of the bottle or something. They still don't date ET bottles and when they date Westbrook bottles it is with a dd/mm/yyyy code on the side of the label, never on the actual bottle. I have no explanation for this. Has nothing to do with ET/Westbrook or the beer inside.

It seems like this code is from the bottle manufacturer. I just opened an Off Color Apex Predator, and a code was etched below the label: 15/22S/163/14/0128. There is a raised "20" in the bottom center of the bottle, just like your photo.

I have had 20 of his different beers over the past year. Have consumed more than my share of antique beer I make a point of trying to find the date code and I have concluded that the date code depends on where Jeppe has decided to brew the beer. Ash tray heart, Hop Flood, Low Life Pilsner, Falco, Freudian Slip, Doughnut Break, Joey Pepper, Lil’ B, Molotov Cocktail, Yang and Yin all have bottle dates.

Aún Más Café Jesus, Imperial Biscotti Break , Femme Fatale Blanc IPA, Even More Jesus, Cowboy Smoked Pilsner, have no bottle dates

Ryan and the Beaster Bunny has a code.

A few other I drank on tap.

I can confirm @pat61 in regards to the Molotov, one I bought last weekend clearly has a 324:14 on the front of the bottle between the label and neck.

I bought a bottle of ET Soft DK. The bottle is labeled with:

    062:15
    12:31

    Any idea what this means?
