No offense to any other cities, but how does this miss Atlanta given its size and supposed 4th largest volume of beer sales?

We tend to be well supllied by Evil Twin and Westbrook, which brews Jesus for Evil Twin. So, I am a bit confused myself. It could simply be a matter of distro, which is the biggest black box when it comes to beer, IMO.

Retailers? I think I have them well figured out. Breweries? A bit less so, but i think I understand them, too. Distributors, especially Savannah? I haven't got a clue. Retailers and breweries keep the public informed. Distributors, not so much, IMO.

I do hope we eventually receive it, however.

I grabbed one bottle of cognac Jesus in Wilmington. I was told the store only received two bottles with only a case split amongst the state (don't know the truth behind this statement, though ii haven't seen it anywhere else). Visited another store that had one bottle on the shelf and was told that was the only bottle they received. Price was $25 and $26 at each location. Must also add, the second bottle at the store I got mine at went to an employee

Double Barrel made its way around to a couple stores today in the triangle and only saw Sam's Quik Shop get Cognac Jesus.

Still went quick as hell though, I never had a chance.

Almost impossible to grab a bottle here, apparently Tasty got 3 bottles of DB Jesus and i'm pretty sure it sold out in minutes.

App Vintner had a bunch of DB as of 4:00. Got lucky on my way out of town today.

They posted their usual shipment pic on FB, which said: "(sorry, all of the Double Barrel and Cognac Jesus was sold out by the time I sat down to type this)". I got a chuckle out of that.

Yeah, I really don't get what the point of that is. Just to prove that you're a heady enough shop to get the good stuff? Why even advertise it if no one even has a chance to purchase it?

That was my guess. Otherwise, it would have been just as easy to retake the pic as it was to type that extra sentence.

The fact that you have to ask leads me to believe that nothing I say would persuade you otherwise.

It's a matter of opinion, anyway.

Saw less than 1 case/shop around Charlotte, flew off the shelves at the shops. Local grocery stores are starting to get more twelve percent/westbrook/evil twin but are keeping the bigger releases in the back; i.e. DB/C Jesus.

I just don't even see the point in a distributor giving a shop two bottles of something.

If I were a shop employee I would have zero issue with buying a limited release bottle, nor do I have any issue with it as a consumer.

Cognac Jesus did make it to Atlanta. Found a case today on shelf at Candler Park market. There's now two left. Good hunting gents.

Let's say I left two, but they're likely gone now. I posted on FB too so all my whale hunting friends would see it.

Well, then, assuming these are gone by now, do you believe this is the extent of distro to Georgia or that more will be hitting the major retail spots this week? Absolutely puzzling that Savannah would allocate here--no matter how good they are--over Green's, Hop City, Ale Yeah!, etc.
