To age or not to age?

I couldn't find a date on this bottle so I wasn't sure when exactly it was born. Couldn't find much info on the evil twin website either. Anyone drank this recently? Was there a big alcohol presence? Better off giving it a year?

Haven't tried my 2015s, but I can tell you that I thought my 2014s improved with six months or so. Alcohol is less of an issue with EMJ as the "soy sauce" note from, presumably, all the molasses that went into the beer. That, and a distinct briny, smoky profile. I will it was off-putting at first, but I really came to appreciate it over time. So much that I bought four of them this year. If you can get two, definitely try one fresh. Otherwise, I had a good result six months out.

Double Barrel Jesus, on the other hand? Epic.

Any idea when the 2015s were bottled?

Quite recently I'm sure. Not sure whether Westbrook dated them, but I'll take a look this evening. They were released into Atlanta about a month ago, and we're one of the first markets to receive it.

No bottling date on any of my bottles, @torr99. But I'm guessing within the last 1-2 months.

had mine last week. to be honest, you ask a good question and i'm not sure if it would benefit from cellar time.
