Biscotti Break Bourbon Barrel (say that 3x fast)
I picked up a bottle of this yesterday and I am planning on cellaring it. Any suggestions on how long?

Not this is really considered cellaring but I had mine for around 9 months and it was absolutely awesome when we pulled it out no heat at all. It wasn't kept at cellar temperature so I would wager to say probably 2 years or a little longer would be perfect. Also wondering how much was this local to you? The BA version of IBB was by far the most expensive of all the variants I have bought.

I picked one up as well and it's currently in a closet. I bought mine last thursday and without looking at my receipt, I think I spent $27 or $28 on a bomber. Pretty surprised by the high tag myself. Saving it for a celebration of some kind (hopefully my admission into med school later this year!)

I just picked one up in Illinois. I heard that there were only 5 cases released to Illinois this time around! $22 plus tax brought it to $26 for me. I was wondering about aging this one too. Anyone else have any experience about aging BA Biscotti Break?

The beer is really not that old, so no one is going to have long term data.

I recommend that you not cellar this beer. Remember that this is still a coffee beer, and its the coffee flavors that make even the BA a standout. Enjoy it fresh and you'll get a tremendous KBS-like beer with a cordial flavor.

@RDMII is probably right, however. Just conjecture on my part, and the observation that it was great fresh.

BTW, is your bottle even dated? Inconsistent dating is a real issue with ET beers.

I think the high price is due to ET contract brewing. All their beers are pricey.

Happy '15 all! Am relatively new to Evil Twin though have been able to make myself pretty familiar with the Biscotti & Doughnut series living in Brooklyn. The last bottle of Natale I bought seemed a bit yeasty/sour compared to what I assume was the previous batch I savored over the summer and recently picked up 3 Biscotti's when visiting my brother in Charlotte. The first bottle shared the same light sour/yeastiness and wonder if some time in the bottle would sweeten it back up some. Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks in advance.
