How available is or was it? If it is out there, what would it take to trade for one or a couple? I have never heard of the beer so I am completely in the dark on this one. A friend of mine heard about it and asked me to find it for him.

I've seen it in two cities in Ohio early May and my buddy bought it in Chicago last week. Shouldn't be hard too find anywhere that gets Evil Twin... $12.99 I believe

Saw some here in the Philly burbs a month or so ago, it was around $15 a bottle. Quantities weren't huge though. And FWIW, it's a really awesome beer. Certainly worth seeking out.

Just wanted to vouch for mklever42. One of the best traders I've dealt with! If anyone sets up a trade for this with him they shouldn't come away disappointed.

It was down here in South Carolina as well for a short time. It was brewed at Westbrook by the Evil Twin crew. They are there again currently, so maybe it is being re-brewed or something else crazy is coming out???

I've grabbed one bottle after hearing great things, haven't tried it yet. Seen a few bottle still around NYC.

It was brewed at Westbrook. I can't remember exactly but we bottled around 400 cases. We tend to bottle that much when we do something with evil twin. Calton, as far as this week we aren't doing the imperial biscotti again. Not sure im at liberty to say what they are cause it's evil twins stuff, but I can tell you they will be good and tickable

Now it tastes so much more rare.

I have a question. This beer is on tap at a local bar, and has been for atleast a few days and I've been meaning to try it. Now that BA knows there were around 400 cases, the I should be able to taste the rare much more than if I had it two days ago, correct? If so, I am glad I waited, because beers that lack a defined and complex rare note are garbage to my perfectly calibrated palate! :stuck_out_tongue:

All joking aside, I had been hearing good things about it and let the HF/CCB Nor distract me on Saturday night, and they were closed when I got there last night. I won't be making that mistake tonight, though!

edit: I mean getting there late. Drinking another HF is never a mistake

Everyone knows it ain't rare unless it came out of a barrel . Pappy barrels are obviously the best and make the rarest beers
Also 400 cases is a lot!

Pshhh, these days I only fuck with with stouts aged in barrels that were previously used to age stouts aged in pappy 20 or better. The nose is ALL rare!

If GI brewed this beer and released it in Chicago 400 cases would take about 2 hours to disappear from shelvesLOL. It is really good though.

It would collect dust sitting on shelves if they released it in Kentucky.

It would eventually go on bargain basement sale at Total Wine from general neglect if it were released in South Florida.

Everybody from FL always makes cracks about beer in South Florida, but it doesn't get much better than CC and and Funky Buddha (the few beers of theirs I have had). It can't really be that bad can it?

It's slowly getting better, especially down here in South FL. For a while it was a dump in terms of local selection, but there are some pretty solid drafts being made now by some up-and-coming breweries, with bottling coming soon.

The joke around here is that if a very good beer hits the shelves down here, it will almost always sit for at least a couple weeks or more (provided that it isn't made by Magic Hat, or DFH).
