Just cracked open my first ever Evil Twin Molotov Lite can. I poured into a tulip glass and the color was perfect, however, I noticed a lot of sediment and hops floating throughout the beer.

Has anyone seen this in the Molotov Lite? Looking to see if I just got the bottom of the barrel or if it's common.

By the way, it was canned on 1/5/2015.

    Cheers!

I know Evil Twin Molotov Senior has a similar appearance, so it could just be a diluted version of the original.

Like Molotov Lite, there are many an unfiltered and/or bottle conditioned DIPA/IPA on the market which will result in sediment floating about...some examples include:
-Sip Of Sunshine - Lawson's (also brewed at Two Roads in Stratford, CT)
    -Heady Topper - Alchemist
-Two Hearted Ale, Hopslam - Bell's
-Hop Ranch & Dirt Wolf - Victory
    -Burton Baton - Dogfish Head
    -Bootleg Fireworks - Baxter

    ...just to name a few!

I had one recently and it did not have anything floating or sediment at all. Normal appearance and texture for the style.
    Pretty Tasty.

Thanks for the quick Reply! You made some great points and agree with you because I've never actually poured any of those into a glass...so I probably never noticed the sediment before.

I don't think it affects the taste, but it does affect the appearance...overall a pretty decent DIPA.

I appreciate all the replies so far!

I noticed mine to be cloudy as well, but it didn't bother me. The flavor made up for the look! I thought it was an awesome brew, but to answer your question, no. I didn't see any floaties either.

Had the big brother last night (simcoe single hop version) and it was chunkalicious
We split it among three people (it is 13%...) and noticed the first pour was crystal clear, the second was cloudy, and the last was downright thick with floaty bits.

Next time I have an IPA from them I will probably give the bottle/can a gentle roll to distribute a bit better

Tinypic.com works very well. No account needed, either.

So there must be inconsistencies with the appearance. Not a biggie. If it tastes fine then there's no problem.
