I don't know about Evil Twin but the following Stillwater beers are brewed at Post Road: Stateside, Cellar Door and Classique. It is my understanding that Brian performs the brewing of his beers at Post Road.

    Cheers!

I didn't know that. I was always under the impression that he did most of his brewing over at DOG brewing in Westminster, Md.

Not that it matters I suppose, but does this represent a recent change for him (as I'm fairly sure that at one time he was doing most of his brewing over at DOG)?

So are those other Stillwater beers (like Existent and As Follows) being brewed somewhere else, perhaps at DOG as John mentioned?

Below is a post by Brian in another thread:

"yup.. i have moved majority of my production to Two Roads so I could increase production & decrease the price to the consumer.. brewing on a larger scale allows me to do that.. I'm heading up there next week to brew Classique for canning!!"

It's brewed in Conneticiut and it's still that pricy? Yeesh...

It is no longer 'pricey' for what it is. Please define pricey? Bottles and cans are reasonable. Draft will always vary based on if the bar is buying 1/6 or 1/2 kegs and what they WANT to charge...

They brew for Terrapin Brewing out of Georgia, saw some of them getting canned during the tour.

There's a few other contracts like Fire Island Brewing that I believe were produced and packaged at Two Roads. At a loss for the other ones but I'm pretty sure Evil Twin is confirmed for the cans at least. I also recall Falco being listed as "Stratford, CT" when I got a growler at Bierkraft in BK this summer.

It's a HUGE production space so no doubt the Pabst-overlords who own Two Roads had this type of contracting in mind. Can't say that I'm mad that Evil Twin/Stillwater supply is closer (and maybe slightly cheaper) than ever.

"Had it in mind" is an understatement. Their whole business plan is built around contract brewing. They are 90% contract and 10% TR products.

Classique is a 4.5% ABV beer sold in $13 six packs. That is fucking pricey

Probaly not brewed at Two Roads, but Hipster Ale is a 5.5% ABV beer sold in $15-$16 six packs.
    Fuck. That.

A $16 sixpack is a bit less per ounce than a $5 bomber. Considering that pre-Two Roads Stillwater and ET beers were usually in the $10/bomber range regardless of ABV, I'd say there's been a dramatic drop in price.

I agree they're still on the expensive end, but now they're at least in the same range as domestic craft beers instead of being priced like high-end imports.

Two Roads only had a contract with Terrapin to brew RecreationAle.

For anyone clamoring after Evil Twin & Mikkeller contracted product...you get what u deserve: very mediocre, extremely overpriced beer. Don't know what 2 Roads could add to these bro' s middling portfolio.
