What does everyone think of Ex Novo? Everything I have had from them is above average to great. I am just drinking Quaker Shaker ..a oatmeal coffee style stout. Friggin amazing stuff for under $5 a bomber.
Ex Novo is one of my favorite stops. I think their beer, overall, is fantastic. I hate crowds, and while they are often busy, never overwhelmingly so when I've been there. Maybe being kind of tucked off of Vancouver helps. Or maybe it's the fact they are close enough to this other brewery that sucks up all the shitlords, hype chasers and beer tourists that that they sort of exist in a vacuum. Will be in PDX the first weekend of Oct. and already looking forward to stopping in for a couple crowlers.
It's the wife's and my favorite brewery to go to. Good food, great beer. Our go-to IPA when we moved here about a year ago was Sticky Hands, but recently there's been a lot more Eliot in the fridge. Really enjoyed the variants as well.
We like it, when we do go to Ex Novo, it's Eliot or Dynamic Duo, sometimes we do drink Cactus Wins The Lottery and have a said of bacon for the table. Not bad location.
