Sounds to me like you guys have a pretty nice set up. Once we get in to our bigger place and have the luxary of a guest room I will gladly welcome friendly geeky alcohlics like myself haha. Even when she is pregnant, my wife doesn't drink at all... so it works out in my favor all around. I hear ya on the closet situation! when i first started cellaring, i was going to use the closet... then I realized there was not one squad foot of room available. So i invested in some crates, and a mini fridge haha. still working on an idea for summer in so cal though. the crated items will get too warm.

long story short... let it be known that the offer is on the table partially if anyone finds their way to so cal...

God knows with all the money we spend on trades (ie beers, extras, shipping, etc) it would probably be more beneficial and economical to fly and stay with another BA. See another city, try more beers then you would in a trade, hang with some good folk...

We need a separate forum for house crashing swaps damn it.

Jeffo and pals crashed at my place, from the Netherlands via Canada. I've crashed at Biglobo's the last 2 darkness weekends. Stayed in a specific hotel while in San Antonio for le muerta day just to hang out with twiggamortis420 extra (Gregg and his pops have a place to stay if they venture this far north ever).

Bastard! I'm at work, having a pretty miserable shift, and just read this post. I called my wife and asked her to check the porch, sure enough it's been violated . I won't be able to open it until tomorrow when I get home. Thank you in advance, it gives me something to look forward to after this shitty day.

Sorry to hear about the shit day. Maybe you should plan to drink to forget all about it.

Sorry Josh, I'm currently typing this with my ipad sitting on top of your box . I need to run around and do some beer shopping before rush hour and I will open and post the haul when I get back.

Am I the only one who delays opening boxes until later in the day so I have something to look forward to? Lol, its the opposite of when I was a kid at Xmas, sneaking up the stairs after my parents fell asleep because I couldn't wait until morning.

I rush home on my lunch break just to open the box. I recently started just having them sent to work (especially with the cold) so I can get that quick high.

Lol, you impatient man child :stuck_out_tongue:. Ok, have to go now, its not easy shopping for different people across the country. I have to write a damn list using seekabrew for different people, get a game plan of where I need to go, who likes what styles, etc. It's all rewarding in the end though.

haha I am the same way. I open right away! I also have changed my address to my work for all future shipments. Partly because I can sneak to my car and look/take a picture... and because I may never know when i will be at the hospital with el wifeo so I would rather the box be at my desk than on my door step! So don't you dare send me anything else after you get my box Brad! It will be sent to my house and stolen and the world will end!

Lol, that will verrry tough to beat. I honestly happy, thrilled and flattered with every beer I have received. It really is the thought that counts and I realize not everyone has a huge cellar, great distribution, great local brewpubs, etc. It has taken me years and a lot of very generous BA's to have the beers I have now so I know and I completely understand. I'm really grateful to all of you.

BTW SirWilliam, you're up next :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh, and the home brew is Tat2dHllBlly's Berliner Weisse. He's going to teach me how to make it next time we have a brew session. It thought it was pretty damn good and was packing up your box while brewing at his house. His cherry berliner is fermenting right now, can't wait to try it.
