I randalled vanilla bean into BCBS last week. Tasted about like BCBVS . My next experiment will be BCBS + raspberries / blackberries

For those without a Randall/Jr, has anyone tried Cafe Cup (reusable K-Cups) and a Nalgene (Screw Top Bottle)?

Also, appears backyard is gone at Halls.

If you have a French Press it will work just as well. I've been experimenting with soaking different types of wood chips in a couple different bourbons and French Pressing (i.e., homemade randall) with The Temptress, and it tastes just like BB Temptress.

That is what I do too (with vanilla/coffee, hadn't tried vanilla/wood yet)

How would you infuse beer in a French press? I keep hearing this method, but wouldn't even know how to attempt.

Edit - Seems like you just put the ingredients and beer in, then put on the lid and press down. That will keep the ingredients from getting into the beer. Pour into glass.

    Am I close?

I pour half the beer in, then add whatever and pour the rest of the beer (in lieu of stirring), then just rest the plunger/screen thing on top of the liquid for a few minutes or longer depending on what it is (probably could just leave it open). Then when I decide its been in there long enough, I plunge down the plunger/screen and pour into a glass. Never used a Randall Jr before, but it seemed to be close enough based on what I think it does.

Yes, you are. I put the wood chips at the bottom of the glass container, pour the beer over them, let it sit for ~5 minutes and then put the lid on and press it down, then pour into a glass. No wood chips or anything else gets in there. I've also done this with coffee beans (whole beans not grounds) and it worked very well. My next thing to try is going to put some wet or dry full cone hops in and press using an IPA or amber ale.

Highly suggest Firemans #4. I had this at a friends, 4 different single hop "fusions" with Firemans #4 as the base. Fantastic.

This is probably a cellared keg. That brew is long gone but you may find some on random shelves.
