So Austin will get Coffee and Cherry Rye from last year at their release?

 

Don't quote me just yet. That's what a beer rep told me. And the first time we exchanged emails I could tell he wasn't very familiar with Bourbon County in general. Once the beer actually gets there tomorrow, I'll know and I'll post it in this thread.

Just had a bottle of year old coffee, and the coffee was gone. So enjoy spending $ on that......

I guess I should be trading for some fresh stuff.

 

Never age coffee beers. I've been saying this for a while. Some people tell me they like them aged but to me the coffee fades. If I wanted a beer without coffee I would have bought that. Don't age coffee beers or IPAs.

 

I just had a 2012 Coffee about 2 weeks ago thanks to cyde and it was great, but then again I don't think I've had it before (freakin tastings) so I wouldn't know the difference between fresh and a year old.

 

They are all absolutely ruined. I hate to say this but it is very important. You will need to send them all to my house so I can dispose of them properly.

Oh I never do. The first time I had BCBCS it was about 6 months old and the coffee was so damn good. The best coffee I've had in a beer. I've had it since then several times and it's still one of my favorite beers. It's changed sure, but I still love it. I'll gladly purchase more.

 

I only age IPAs I take to tastings. Is that poor form?

Between Black Friday in Austin and Jester King having Funk to go it looks like it's going to be an expensive Friday

 

LOTS of places will have regular BCBS on Friday and next week. Apparently they made a fuck-ton of it.

 

But pulling out the tent after Thanksgiving sounded so fun

This is what I'm thinking...had a 10 month old coffee and I could barely tell it wasn't regular BCBS. Disappointing to say the least. Not sure why they would pick Austin WF for 1 of 4 Black Friday events and bring us leftovers...
