The guy at Gabriel's told me they were only getting a case or two. I'm hoping it ends up at the other spots.

 

Just moved from Chicago. It turns into a shelf turd there for a little bit, then it's gone, then everyone bitches about not buying enough till the next years release comes around again. REPEAT...what a vicious cycle.

 

Just bought bcbs in plano, sold out now. They were doing 1 bottle limits , only got 2 cases. At s n k's

 

this is accurate in most of the country in which its distro'ed. I could have bought cases of it in NY in June.

 

Yeah, I once bought it in Missouri in June. The lack of approval for the others is probably a blessing in disguise; I won't feel the need to wake up early.

 

I think so, too...had Barleywine or Backyard been in play, I'm all over it...but since FUCKING GROCERY STORES are getting GIBCS, I'm not going to worry about being able to get some...

Confirmed at least two Krogers and a few HEBs in Houston are getting BCBS on Friday. Y'all go ahead and line up and I'll get my 4 packs outside the beltway as always. Lol.

 

I've only waited in a line to get beer once, for a Bishop's release. how mad is this really going to be? I'm going down there (Spexsmith) maybe an hour early at best, no way I'll have the endurance for any more than that. I've heard about the pumkinator lines and seen the cropped photos, but I don't know what this will be like, any theories/predictions from "beer-line veterans" on how many we can expect in lines, whether the supply will reach the end of the line? no one had confirmed a Houston case count eh? less/more hype that pumkinator? the half-page story in the chron today doesn't help, but who reads the paper anymore. Either way I'll be down there even if just totake a glimpse at the line and turn around.

 

Frankly the only damned beer I'll wait in line for is Bishop's Barrel and that's only because you don't have much of a choice otherwise if you want some to take home.

As for folks talking down on Grocery Stores getting this...why is that a bad thing? lol

 

Grocery stores are good thing since I can just throw my case in the grocery cart and not worry about someone giving me shit for buying more than a 12oz bottle.

 

Not talking down about it...just crazy that there will be so much of it that it's actually going to be in groceries...can't wait for it to be a shelf turd!
