I really don't hope if we get BCBS this year that it won't be a truck-chasing situation. They made 4x more than last year... which was already exponentially more than the year before.

I'm just waiting for people who have never bought BCBS to be taken aback when they see it for $25/4-pack.

I'm shocked, thought you would have already known. You seem to be so in the know.

How would I know anything about a brewery's distribution plans to a state that they haven't even been in for a year? I'm in the know when it comes to drinking; not so much the other stuff. Sorry I asked.

I heard from someone this past weekend who seemed to know with some certainty that GI BCBS was coming......

I believe if they're going to sell 2013 BCBS, they're going to have to have a new label made up for TABC that shows the change of year. The current BCBS label approval is for 2012 only.

I have a strong feeling that all BCBS that makes it to Texas, especially Houston, is going to be broken up into singles.

Plenty of beers with vintage dates dont have to get re-approved for the next year release. If the ABV changes or anything else it will be re-approved but just changing the year is ok as far as I know. Saint Arnold Bishops Barrel and Ranger Creek Small Batch dont get new label approval for every new beer in the series.

My bad then. Thought they had to update the year on the label approval.

SA BB and Ranger Small Batch change the beer each batch though, the ABV does change.

Enjoy By IPA doesn't have to get reapproved every time it's in Texas and they practically change half of the label with the new date. Look it up.

Anyways... it's AB. If they needed a label approval, they probably have someone who handles that process for each state that needs it, lol.

Yeah remember way back when there were labels approved for all of the rare GI stuff but they weren't even sending the crappy beers here!

Any DDBA still hanging around Austin...? I've got a half day tomorrow, so I'll be able to search/drive wherever. Feel free to BM me if needed.

I went around looking for DDBA today as well and had no luck. Apparently both Spec's and Central Market had issues with the beer. Spec's dude at Arbor even told me that they got invoiced for the beer but it didn't show up. Stopped by Sunrise as well and no dice.

From what I understand, there was an issue with the UPC code being identical to another boxed beer and it'll be delayed a little while...at least at CM/Specs...
