My wife and I are looking to take a beer-centric vacation to Belgium next year and I stumbled across http://beertrips.com/. After reading their website and the itineraries for some of their trips, it sounds like a great experience--a perfect mix of guided tours and freedom with a small group of like-minded people. I'd recommend checking out Belgian Beer Me! http://belgianbeerme.com/ I haven't been on any of his trips but Stu is an awesome guy and definitely knows his stuff!
I've been on two BelgianBeerMe tours. You need to look at the Trappist tour ... they go in the Spring and Fall of 2014. Because you will be in the neighborhood, consider combining it with a second tour like his Farmhouse tour! Many repeat customers on his tours. Email him...an honest guy who will answer all your questions. If he doesn't think the tour is for you...he will tell you. He wants you to enjoy your experience!
Post in the Benelux forum and it used to have a few posts about the trips. TBH you can do it all yourself, save money etc. When are going,? we will be over next March 29 thru May/June or so. oic its sold out until next October. we do not go then. to bad I love to show folks around.
