I love Old Chub Nitro A LOT, and I've drank A LOT more than I'd ever care to admit to of it, however, I just encountered a problem I've never had before with it. I know the cans can overflow if not chilled, but mine is DEFINITELY chilled, cracked it open like I always do, fully open with a single move, not half cracked or anything out of the ordinary, however, this time when the charge when off it shot foam spittle all over me and promptly overflowed, staining my white shirt and the carpet. Anyone ever experienced this before?
Hmm never heard of something like this before, I don't drink many if any nitro cans. I wonder if it was a bad can/batch?
Saw the thread title and thought-great idea. Get all the nitro beer in the world in a big heap and detonate a big bomb under it.
Same thing just happened to me! Picked up a a four pack Old Chub Nitro on a friend's recommendation and was really looking forward to it. Cracked open the first one, fully chilled and it spewed all over the place. Drank what was leftover and I certainly do dig the taste. Later on I grabbed another one, same thing happens.. I'm not to proud to admit that at this point I think that I'm obviously doing something wrong. So, to Google I went. I couldn't find anything that said this should be happening. So this time I decide to open it in the bathroom, over the sink (my wife suggested I open it in the shower). P'shaw, I say. I got this ************ this time.. It practically doused the entire bathroom this time!! Back to Google. Included the word "exploding" and happened upon this thread. There's no way in hell I'm opening the fourth and I'm seriously considering taking it back to the store for a refund.
there was a recall on those. you're not alone. and I must say I hope they fix it soon and get more out to the distro, at least in jersey. haven't seen it in awhile
