I had searched the forums for "Stone Exploding" and got nowhere. I'd love to know more.

No response? Perhaps a letter from a lawyer would provide suitable motivation. An exploding bottle can maim or kill.
A more professional company would request the pieces of glass, tape them together and then figure out why the bottle exploded.

    You're kidding, right?

I'm more appalled at the unkempt glassware. Filthy!

I had a bottle of old guardian explode on me a couple years ago. bought it, put it on my passenger seat and BAM, before I could even put the car in gear. my car smelled great for like a month after that.
I walked back in the store with the remnants and said, wtf? they gave me another one....

Holy shit, get a lawyer to contact Stone over a bottle with a defect bursting?

Welcome to the Litigious States of America I suppose.

Anyway OP, a normal bottle should have no problem sitting at room temp for however long, and even should survive a warm car....but one with a defect in the glass (out of the billions of bottles made each year) is liable to break. Sucks you had to clean that up and Stone and/or the bottle shop you bought it at should replace it.

I sent Stone an email a few years ago about some disappointing product and never heard back. Someone else on BA posted raving about Stone's customer service so I shared my story as well. Then I got a BM from someone from Stone who works on social media and such asking for my address and apologizing. He also CC'd a bunch of people in the company and Mitch Steele ended up answering a few of my questions. They also sent me a hat and glass.

I guess my long winded point is I bet they get a TON of emails and cant keep up with it. Maybe send another or they might see the thread on here. I remember when Greg would respond and and get in a lot of debates on here.

It was most likely a bottle defect.

But this is how you take care of customers in this situation.

hiphopj5 e-mailed rekrappy, and they are replacing the bottle. I know there are Stone workers about on BA.

    Why not screw stone.

I can't believe they said it was his fault because he left it unrefrigerated for 4 hrs.

I don't think the OP said Stone told him that.
