That's not the point. The point is that not leaving headspace causes the system to be more volatile any time something causes the pressure to rise, whether it's fermenting additional sugar, or heating/agitating the vessel. Best practice for filling a glass container with carbonated liquid is to leave headspace; every bottle of beer you ever bought from a commercial brewery had headspace in it for a reason.

Gift cards are not fucking appropriate. That's just adding cost that the customer base will have to absorb in terms of higher priced beer and/or food. If Jean is aware of it, why are they still filling growlers all the way to the top? Fixing the problem is what they should be doing, not giving out gift cards.

If another brewery was to open nearby that makes similar quality beers, I'd never go back to this place. I should probably take advantage of being a more reasonable distance from Ambler than I used to.

I don't get many growlers from Tired Hands...probably only had 5 or 6...but out of that group 2 of them were completely flat. It has been awhile since I've been out there, been out of the country for a bit...but I haven't had much luck at all with Tired Hands growlers. It's too bad because their beer is amazing.

I just emptied a growler of people person. It neither exploded or was flat

I just got a growler filled, and before sealing it, the bartender poured a little back out (for our homies?) then capped it. If this is now standard practice, it could explain the decrease in recent problems.

I grabbed 6 growlers yesterday, where in my trunk all night and just got home and out them in the fridge about 1 hour ago... none exploded so far, so that was good, will find out soon if flat

I wouldn't expect anything to be flat now. They got that under control 8 months ago.

Any recent explosions? I never had an issue but haven't seen activity here in a while so I'm hoping were all good now.

Mrs. Pigman is better than Pliny the Younger.

Also, the last batch of growlers I bought had a couple inches of headspace in them. So someone finally figured it out.
