I have two bottles of Expo (picked up at Alpine 1.5 weeks ago) that I'd like to trade for stouts that I can't easily get, e.g. Dark Lord, Huna, MZ, or Vietnamese Speedway. Would a 1:1 trade be reasonable for each of these? PS: Looking to do an IP trade (SD or OC).
$13.40 with service fee from Brown Paper Ticket. OP, in person will be hard. People who have those beers that are not distributed to SD/OC will likely be looking for stuff they can't get. EH wasn't too difficult to get, especially with the tickets AND after the initial release a week or 2 earlier. Whatever the case is, you'll need to add something to even out the cost, if there's disparity. Most people tend to trade stouts for stouts so you would be better off looking for IPAs, or add an Alpine bomber to help the trade along. EH is an amazing beer though, on par with Lawson's Triple Sunshine. I'm surprised people don't look for it more. Good luck!
What about for Atrial? Seemed a bit off to me, but didn't want to shit on the guy and wanted to make a nice offer for the Expo.
Definitely a great trade. It would be nice to expand. Maybe Atrial + another JK sour for Expo + 3 Alpine bombers. He's not looking for sours though.
Yeah, definitely good with including in an expansion, just seemed a little off 1:1 - thanks for the insight though and what you proposed was really what was churning around in this little head of mine. Appreciate it.
No problem! That works out almost $4$ and both sides will get great beers. Moreover, you will gain a connection in SD if the trade goes well. Everyone should be lucky to have a great connection in SD, particularly for Alpine.
Thanks guys for the input! I_BYE_MI_BEER: I'm only trading IP at this time, though the thought of Atrial+another JK sour for Expo+Pure+Nelson+Duet did intrigue me. I'm not familiar with JK, but I'm aware now.
