I'm amused by its classification, since the regular Yeti is an RIS. I guess putting stuff like coffee and chocolate in it move it firmly into that American Imperial Stout classification even if the base beer is an RIS.

I preferred the Espresso Oak Aged less than the others. But thats just me. it could have just been the keg, but oh well.
    Enjoy your beer!

It doesnt get much hype, but I had a bottle a few months ago and thought it was the best stout Ive ever had.

Just an outstanding beer, , $12.99 is a little high on price, but it will always impress. Good luck on tests!

It's not barrel aged just oak aged.

While i'll agree it's a excellent brew, I thought there was excessive amounts of oak mid taste. Then again, that could just be me.

$12.99 seems a little on the high side.

Average retail around here is $9.99-$10.99 with a couple of $11.99s. $12.99 is a tad high but not awful.

Is this similar to the espresso oak aged yeti? Or is this a new, really fast version?

I'm not trying to be a dick as this is all in good fun, but if $12.99 is on the high side for an espresso yeti....

How much did you pay for that 12oz stone black ipa in your avatar picture?

It's Brew Dog Bashah, IIRC ~$2/ea. IMO, the $12.99 is about $2 to much. Currently, it's hard to buy Yeti when Stone IRS can be had for $7.90/ea .

    To each their own though.

Stone/Brewdog collab. Never seen it for less than $8. I'd buy that shit up at 2 bucks a pop.

I feel your pain. I don't work with coffee, but I do love it, and every time I hear someone say "expresso," I die a little on the inside.

As for the topic, Espresso Yeti is delicious (assuming it's relatively fresh). I had a fresh bottle a couple of months ago and had forgotten how amazing it was. It's better than most barrel aged stouts I've had while also being reasonably priced and readily available. Chocolate is even better, I think, but I'm a sucker for things that are both chocolaty and spicy.

I have had a bunch of different yetis and still havent had to original. But they all seem to be delicious. You have a nice choice there.
