I'm looking to add a bit more body/mouth feel to a pretty good dry stout extract kit. Was wondering if adding an extra lb. of DME would be of any help...any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated as well.

    Cheers!

It would add body, but would also increase ABV. Also, there's a reason the style is called 'dry.'

But if you want to add body, you can replace some base malt with carapils or maltodextrin, or use a less attenuative yeast strain. (There are things you can do with the mash too, but they don't apply to extract brewing.)

I think maltodextrin might fit your what your going for the best.

    Make it a milk stout.

Add 1/2 a pound of Carapils to your steeping grains.
