    Hey Advocates,
I'm a relatively new brewer (3rd batch) looking to brew a pumkin ale for the fall season. I've put together a recipe from reading a bunch of other recipes and was looking for tips/advice/tweaks from more experienced brewers. I really guessed at the malt extract. Most people were using LME, but I've used PME with success so I thought both together may work. Thanks in advance

    5 Gal Batch

    3.3 lb LME
    3.3 lb PME
    8 oz 60L Crystal
    16 oz biscuit malt
    Wyeast 1450
    1 oz Willamette
1/4 tsp irish moss (15 min)
    Spices @ 5 Min
    1/3 tsp ginger
    1 stick ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
    1/2 tsp Allspice
    1/4 tsp whole cloves

    14 oz maple syrup @ 5 min
    1/2 of a vanilla bean @ 5 min

Option for 60 oz fresh pumpkin (caramelized) @ 60 min
