Haven't homebrewed in many years, but I'm excited to get back into it! Hoping to brew a bright hoppy IPA with lemon and lime shining through. Here's what I've put together so far:

    2gal batch

    Grain Bill:
    2lbs Extra-Light DME
    4oz Crystal 20L (Steep @150 for 30mins)
    4oz.Carapils (Steep @150 for 30mins)

    Hop Schedule:
    .5oz Centennial @30mins
    .5oz Centennial @10mins
    1oz Lemon Drop @FO
    1oz Motueka @FO
1oz each Lemon Drop and Motueka (DryHop)
    Yeast- US05

    SG- 1.050
    FG- 1.012
    ABV- 4.9%
    IBUs- 47.8

I've got an ounce of dried lemon peels from Brewer's Best that I thought I could use at Flame Out.

    Questions:
*I'd like to keep the grain bill pretty simple, but is there anything I should drop or add?
*Does anyone have experience using Lemon Drop or Motueka hops? Should they be used at FO or as part of the boil?
*Ideal time to dry hop? Was going to wait 7days after brew day, dry hop, then bottle 7 days later (14 total days from brew day till bottling).

If this goes well, I'd like to purchase some additional equipment so that I can scale the recipe up to a 5gal batch.

    Any and all suggestions appreciated!

Never used the hops in question.

A dry oz of lemon peels may be a lot ,,,so,,, I'd drop on or two in a pint of water for a day and see how it tastes.

    Good luck.

Personal preference - if you want bright & hoppy & fruit-forward .... I'd drop the C20. Maybe replace with flaked wheat or oats, or maybe not replace at all. Again, personal preference, YMMV. Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestion! May switch the 4oz of C20 with 4oz of flaked wheat. My worry was that using Extra light DME by itself may not give me enough balance, so I threw the C20 in there. But wheat sounds good as well.
