It will be bitter, but I don't think it will be too bitter. It may taste like and IPA to the weak...

You have a nice amount of dry hops there; should smell great.

Do you plan on topping your fermenter off with water? Reason I'm asking is that the boil volume is less than your batch size. If you are able to start with a higher boil volume you can use less hops to get to 40 IBUs or the same hops and get a higher than 40 IBUS.

Recipe looks very drinkable, very good.

I think that you won't be able to tell for sure how delicious it is unless you send me a bottle so I can confirm its deliciousness for you. :grinning:

I'm gonna start with five gallons and im assuming at least a half gallon will evaporate... I have a 7.5 gallon kettle and have been doing 6 gallon boils to start with but I'm not really achieving a rolling vigorous boil with my gas kitchen stove so I'm gonna decrease the volume a little and top off with water.... Most my family/ friends aren't craft beer lovers like myself so the lower hop utilization may be to their benefit... I did a hoppy 69 ibu pale ale and it blew there face off!!! Although I really enjoyed the hoppy goodness.
