Wearing / carrying a jacket is common practice here in New England for eight to ten months out of the year. And if the weather is just right, bundling up won't stop the suffering - you gotta embrace it like a long lost friend!

It'll depend on the vendor, but I'd bring cash just in case.

Also they're talking some snow Friday night and Saturday morning . Warming to the 40's by afternoon but the waterfront will still be chilly. Get a large Dunkins to keep you warm while waiting to get in.

Better yet, stop at Barrington Coffee on Congress St (block away from Trillium) and get a good coffee.

Since many of us will be waiting in line for a while before the session is it possible to hand out the Fest Guides to people waiting in line? I know I would love to prepare my gameplan while waiting, while also discussing the available beers and fest with the people I'm waiting with.

That's the plan. Our line crew will walk the line and handout guides.

Is there a general time when people begin lining up for entry? I don't necessarily need to be first but rather not be 2000th.

I'm really looking forward to this. Last year at the ACBF I brought an empty Nalgene in for water. Is that still kosher at the EBF?

Show up an hour early or right at the official start time and you'll have the same overall experience. The line moves quickly, everyone is in within 10 minutes or so. If you're with the first wave of 100 or so you'll get one quick pour while everyone is still coming in. By the time you get your second pour, the place is basically full. So, get there really early (1 hour plus) if you want 1-2 pours before it gets busy. But know that it's going to be cold and lightly snowing tonight and tomorrow morning.

I go with a group of 6 and we're usually there around 20-30 mins beforehand (12:30 or so on Sat). I got there really early once when it was at the Cyclorama because Russian River was there and I wanted to try Pliny the Elder and Younger. After the first hour, there was no line at Russian River and they had plenty of beer for the day.

I know this probably sounds like cheerleading, but having been to almost a dozen BA fests, I've always been very impressed at how well and how quickly the entrance process is dealt with. I'm solidly in the show up 15-20mins before the start camp. You'll get right in and there is always more great beer than you'll know what to do with throughout the event.
