    If you're in Santa Cruz, you've gotta get over to SARA (St. Adairius Rustic Ales). They make some great beers that trade very well too once you've tried them yourself. Cheers.

    For that matter, even though a bf was mentioned, none of us can be certain the op is female. This isn't intended to be snarky, just factual. Regardless, BA members are among the friendliest & most welcoming.

    Scjolson, my initial trades just happened to be with experienced traders which made everything especially smooth. Their advice & patience was invaluable. As others have advised, at least for your early trades stick with experienced members.

    One other piece of advice it's don't over extend yourself. It can be addictive as others have mentioned & you don't want to find yourself overwhelmed with packing, shipping fees or that you've traded away beers you no longer have.
