First Karbach release I've been psyched about in a little while... really want a couple of these... and betting it's going to be released while I'm gone on my honeymoon....

 

I'm excited as well.....which probably means I'll be traveling like the last 2 FUN releases.

Hopefully they do it next week or wait until after Thanksgiving so it doesn't get sucked into Black Friday releases.

Yes but with Karbach you never know for sure. They say their dates are "written in foam" haha but as far as silver eagle has said they still expect it December 15.

 

I talked to a Karbach rep Friday night at Specs and he told me that this one isn't ready yet, it needs to sit in the barrels a little longer.

 

I also spoke to a Karbach rep last Friday at the new Bar Louie location in Willowbrook. He said the same thing. Said it was still too hot and was going to sit a little longer. Also said that BBH bottles would be bottled soon and should be out before Christmas

 

Any chance that this and the "Templeton Rye Barrel Aged Belgian Ale Quad" found at Lucky's in Cypress are the same thing?

Very well possible. I remember seeing Karbach tweet about an event in Cypress where they would have some special beers and I believe the quad was listed. The event was then postponed until further notice. This was in late Nov.

*edit. Ok I just looked it up and Karbach posted that they would have a tapping of that on Nov. 25th but then sent out another tweet saying that the event at Lucky's was postponed.

So how was it?

 

I didn't try it. I'm trying to clean up the entries on Untappd and thought it might be the same.
