Faction brewing (alameda)

I'm very happy to have Faction open within biking distance of my place. Rode down today to meet up with some folks and have some pints. Beautiful view of SF, and the hoppy stuff is tasting mighty fine. There's lots of room for expansion, and plenty of St. George Spirits barrels filled. Not sure if the rules will change once their growlers are stocked, but for now, they're filling other growlers as long as the other brewery's info is covered.

 

I had the Winter IPA last week at Beachwood from tap and thought it was a really well made IPA, my first from them.

Really intrigued by these guys. The location sounds pretty cool too.

Checked these guys out today and was really impressed. Their two Pale Ales (A-Town and Faction Pale) were very nice.

 

Gotta go here soon, so whats the history of this guy Roger, I heard he used to brew at Drakes?

 

He brewed his best brew with Triple Rock brewing, which is semi related to drakes. That brew was a triple ipa, and it was a beer to cherish.

 

Oddly, they had a Triple IPA on yesterday and I thought it was their worst beer.

 

I'm sorry, but it was not the beer I'm talking about.

 

Had Faction Flagship Pale Ale and thought it was quite good. Ran across it in a German Beer Garden in Redwood City. I'm a IPA drinker and would seek it out to drink again.

 

Wasn't saying it was. Just pointing out that the one I had wasn't up to par with the borderline amazing Pales I had from the same brewer.
