I merely use CBH as an example. By the time the bubble pops there will be dozens of others. Goose Island Bramble is another good one at the moment.

People are asking "why wouldn't CR trade that high" and I don't think that's the issue.... CR still does trade high, but with that said, I've seen several offers that I believe got done (know of one personally) that were:

CR for BN 1:1 (maybe local extras in some cases to make up a few bucks on the BN side)

With that said, that leaves BT for KH + CBS? If you put up an "ISO BT, FT: KH+CBS" your inbox would implode.

Either way, you're dealing with 5 tasty beers, so no matter what I don't think any party could get "screwed" here.

Let me know. I was not a huge fan of the 2 oz. of CBH I tried, and I could drink Adam all day long.

I agree with you here, but there's also the "Founders effect" where even though this is a distro beer, its a very thinly distro with many bottle shops having a one per person limit. Even gigantic megastores only got 12 bottles, while the smaller shops only got half a case. I think in Chicago only the top 5 accounts got anything. I figure that most people that got one bottle either drank it already or are sitting on it for later, while it's likely that of those 15,000 on the market only a few thousand or so are actually 'for trade'. On the other hand how many BT '11 are 'for trade' when each person could get 7?

Personally, I know my one remaining bottle of CBH is of greater value to me than any of the bottles of Dark Lord I was able to get (and hence subsequently traded away).

I agree with the general shittiness of thin distro. But, it also often just forces people to buy things because they feel like they have to (or want to for trade bait). So, in a case where there isn't high demand, the trade supply is still ample. I understand why KH and CBS were tough gets, but not CBH. Wants-Gots is never a perfect metric, but it is so lopsided in this case, that the story is clear - there are plenty of bottles out there, the asking price is just too high.

Wants-Gots is a great metric, completely agree with everything you just said.
