I could tolerate living in Vacaville, but Dixon? Really? You must post while wearing a 10-gallon hat.

Sorry....just miss living the other side of the Caldecott tunnel. Ale Industries and OL Beer in Walnut Creek are about the only things I class as a reason to stay around

Seriously? Dixon is like five minutes to either Vacaville or Davis. And cheaper than either.

I would have a hard time living in Dixon, yes it is cheaper, but there is a reason for that. An exciting night in Dixon is cruising the wal-mart aisles (and I am 50, what the hell do the young folks do). The closer to the Bay, the more expensive. Vacaville works just about right for me. Don't forget about Monument in Concord, just bend over and grab your cheeks when you walk in, of course I did find a 4 pack of 2008 BCBS a little while back and it was only $28.

I think the fact that you support living in Dixon by pointing out its proximity to places like Davis and Vacaville is a pretty good indication that it's a terrible place to live.

fairfield= 1 hour and 10 min from RR. when you think about it that way it doesnt seem so bad. i lived in vacaville for a year and now in house closer to base in suisun. not many good beer places at all in fairfield/vacaville. nugget in vacaville probably has best selection. davis is 25 minutes away and has good selections around town a bit pricey but still at least its there. plus side there a lot of college girls always roaming around town. i always take the bart into frisco from walnut creek, to get to WC its about 30 min from fairfield. not too bad at all, once your in the city your options are very nice.
