Fall Beer Sightings? (2021)

Anyone see the SN northern hemisphere wet hop show up yet? I’m assuming that I’m mega early on this, just couldn’t find a specific release date other than “fall”

Looks like SN announced the release last year on Sep 21st so you are probably at least 3 weeks away from seeing it on a nearby shelf.

 

Wait 4 weeks

 

The way I see it, you have two options:

1) Go inside with the air conditioning and drink it.

2) Finish all the Helles and Oktoberfest first, and when those are done, it'll likely be cooler.

 

Here in Illinois he'll probably only need to wait 4 hours.

Watching the forecast now -- high of 77 tomorrow. Sort of Springtime Starkbier weather.

 

I remembered this last night -- I used to go to a German restaurant where one of the bartenders had figured a ratio blend of Spaten Helles and Optimator to recreate the Oktoberfest Marzen! You could give that a try!

Welcome September! I'll be celebrating tonight with some ST Harvest and hoping to find some SN Oktoberfest. I think a local supermarket has finally got some in. I did pick up some Fat Heads Spooky Tooth that I can't wait to crack into either.

yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, I got the case before it's too late.

 

In relation to this I looked at Founders release calendar to see when Harvest Ale comes out and…. it’s not listed. They didn’t axe it did they? I already messaged them on IG to find out.

Also yeah I used to sell SN, Northern Hemisphere comes out right around the start of October. I usually buy a case every year.

 

Founders did axe it, for distro that is, it is brewery only now I believe. There was a short thread a little while back.

The Oktoberfest/festbier release date has finally come and gone and this is this year's full lineup here in Sweden as far as the German imports go. I've had all but Aldersbacher's and Ayinger's in the past so I'll be interested in trying those, especially the Ayinger since it features so prominently in discussions on this forum yet I have never had it.
