I have 3 corked 750ml bottles of Ommegang Hennepin from my wedding 24 years ago. We drank one on our 10th, and it was very good still, although a bit different. I saw the Brewer at a beer fest and he was quite impressed. Probably going to crack 1 at 25 years, and 50, if we're still alive.

Found this pair at the bottle shop today

They also had Shipyard pumpkin ale but I have never had that one. I was kind of surprised to see it as we don't really get that many of their beers anymore.

    Sweet -- ISO this weekend!

After all, if it's in NC it's gotta be in ILL, right? Right?

Much fresher than the Spaten beers I saw at my local supermarket:

"I just got back from doing some grocery shopping at my local Wegmans supermarket and I noticed a large stack of Spaten Oktoberfest beers. I removed a bottle from a six-pack to see a best by date of 10-2022. These beers are 9 months old now."

    Cheers!

Careful, if you say IPOF three times in the mirror, it will come to life.

Shipyard Pumpkin hit the local grocery stores this week if that's anybody's thing. Bet those pumpkins were fresh

Yep, just like all those "fresh" processed hop pellets that most all brewers use.....

2020 was the last year I saw it in MN. Very disappointing, as that is a top notch beer.

At a local supermarket today, July 27. JULY 27.[IMG]

This seems to change up periodically. Maybe 4-5 years back (?)a lot of the Octoberfest beers were gone by early September. Other years, the stacks of Pumpking, for one, were like 5 feet tall. Needless to say, it was still available around Easter.

I don't know about Easter but my local Wegmans supermarket a couple of years ago still had stacks of Pumking at Christmas time.

    Cheers!
