Don't forget to tell them I also have some Spotted Cow and Pilsner also. Cheers!

They'd find that in a probable cause search.

(uh... BTW, where did they have Pilsner left?)

A friend of my wife was up in Wisconsin, so I had them mule me back a 12 pack of the Pilsner. That was late July. Not sure where they found it.

At first glance, my reaction was, "Those poor Pumkings getting all shook up," but then I realized, "Forget the Pumking... those poor green glass Spatens are getting lightstruck in the sun!" Oh the humanity.

Hopefully he snapped the pic and ran that sixer into the cool, dark garage.

Maybe. Or maybe it was exposed for the entire car ride.
If the pic was outside, @another_beer_in_the_wall probably had to clean up the Pumking spill before moving anything.

Being a true Beer Advocate, I'm sure he has one of those retractable covers on the way-back of his SUV. Like me.
    Secondary priority.

Yesterday I visited a German club outside of Reading, PA for their German-American Day Celebration Event. They had Spaten Oktoberfest Ur-Marzen vom Fass. Wow. I hadn't one of those on draft in over 10 years. Or more. All I can say is that it was excellent. Wow.

Today I came across Spaten Okto 6 packs dated 6.2024. Of course I picked up some.:beer:

Edit: I also picked up some 500 ml bottles of Weihenstehpaner Festbier (2023) and also Victory Festbier as well. Troegs Okto was also on the shelves; I'll pick some up this week.

Anyone else had Pumking this year and think it is way off? Just doesn’t taste like the same beer.

Not yet, but I may have to grab one for science. When was the last time you had one before this year?

I have a couple four packs every year for like ten years so I feel like I’ve got a good feel for it. Just tastes cheaper than usual, and maybe a little bit of booziness that wasn’t there before. Wouldn’t be surprised if ST has skimped to bring down costs on it and squeeze more profit. They’ve been putting out some awful sugar bomb nightmare beers for a couple years now.

I tried the Caramel version and enjoyed it but I haven't had a regular yet this year.

After a complete drought of Spaten Oktoberfest (bottles, anyway) last year, it's showing up in places I've never seen it this year -- and at bargain prices ($10 a six-pack).

Much of it bottled in June 2023.

And yes, it's drinking quite nicely.
