Errr, yes it did. It sold out like hot cakes when it was released January 2011.

That was an issue with the agent/brewery. Both that and the Chimay Blue didn't make it but they were both available the year before so that has nothing at all to do with lab testing.

I am really only looking forward to the shipyard beers, and hopefully I am not going to have to drive past Pickering to get them!

So then what happened to the Kriek, LCBO apologist? Why did NB get Spearhead Pale before ON?

Most Canadian provinces have shit systems that generally make for bad booze selection for connoisseur (wine, beer & spirits). Every time people defend the system, IMO they are really defending the shitty beer selection we have across Canada.

You know what happened to the Kriek....and this was over a decade ago, wasn't it? I'd imagine if it was submitted now, it may well be on the shelves. And I'm not an LCBO apologist. I used to deal with the LCBO, so have a little insight into the processes of getting products into the system.

As for NB getting Spearhead before ON.....did they? I do believe it was on tap in Ontario the moment it was released from the brewery. What a dumbass question!!!!!!! There are some right whoppers out tonight.

Oooh!! Ninja edit. Spearhead bottles, you know the thing you would buy at the LCBO stores, the thing everyone is shitting on or defending... I had one in trade offered to me from NB about 3 weeks prior to it being released in ON. It was in a past thread if you really want me to dig it up.

You can imagine what you want, but your system has caused world renowned US and international brewers not to want to do business with your system.

In any event, I'll be buying some Tripel Karm and Celebrator and perhaps trying out a bottle or two that I've yet to review.

Boring release, but it makes trips to Michigan and New York all the more fun. Also easier to focus on new beers being brewed/released on tap in Ontario which are increasingly more awesome (read: Bellwoods).

Hahahaaa. I absolutely love that "lcbo appologist" has become the most vulgar insult anyone in Canada can level at a fellow beer geek.

Does anyone else ever step back and wonder if it's time to pull our collective heads out of our ass of a microcosm? Funny times these are.

It appears to be a word you use when you've lost an argument or can't think of anything decent to say

Your has a singular and a plural meaning. If I were a part of that system, I would have used "our", but I am not. It is "your" as in all of Ontario's. The fact that you have (seemingly, and for your sake hopefully) purposely misread my sentence structure in two consecutive posts indicates that you need to twist facts to "win" in your mind.

I'm just a guy on the outside that deals with an equally archaic and shitty system pointing out what I think is obvious, and my points are irrespective of this beer release.

... as opposed to taking statements out of context. Sigh. I'll quit responding to you at this point.

But it's still not my system, as I don't live in Ontario. If I have mis-read your posts, then they mustn't have been clear in the first place.

...why are people getting so butthurt about beer? I can understand feeling some dissatisfaction about the LCBO selection if it's not your cup of tea.... but to start attacking each other verbally, all but frothing at the mouth, presumably with the glazed eyes of a Bud Chelada poisoning victim? Come on people. Smile, be nice, and drink a beer (not necessarily in that order).
