... might want to stop in at the brewpub over the next few days, because they just put on a stellar brand new Black IPA! This is a delicious beer that compelled me to put up a review of it. If you get a chance, stop in and grab one (or three)!

Huge second, I had it on Saturday and it is fantastic.

(It was actually one of two great Black IPAs I tasted this weekend . . . )

I was planning on heading up this weekend but got roped into picking up a shift at work on Saturday. I am still hoping to make it on Friday.

Yeah, this beer was absolutely incredible. It was listed as "Black IPA," although I was unsure whether it might be the same beer as SNAFU IPA (which I haven't had).

Definitely a different beer. Both are awesome, although the very first batch of Snafu was unbelievable and while subsequent batches were still very good, they didn't quite capture the magic of that inaugural batch. Hopefully the Black IPA will become a regular rotating offering at SGB!

Not even close to being the same beer. I have had EVERY incarnation of SNAFU there has ever been.....the new Black IPA is totally different. Trust me!

Don't forget the Selinsgrove Beer festival tickets just went on sale at 8:00AM. They sell out fast, but gives a good reason to head up to the brewery!

Don't get mad at me when I come back there and pick up Selins' Grove and smuggle the whole place out here. I sure do miss that place, and I haven't been there in 12 years. Next visit back, for sure.

I'm actually working at a job near there and always wanted to check out the place. BM me if anyone is interested in a growler. I frequent west Chester, doylestown and pretty much all over SE PA.

I am amazed by how fast they go any more. Been going since they started, because I went to SU. It's not even that amazing of a brew fest, but every year tickets go as fast as the to tier brew fests.

Had the black IPA today and it was fantastic. Was never really a fan of this style, but am now. They really did it right letting the hops shine through with just a hit of dark toasty malts on the back end. If you have the chance get some!

Does anyone know if this is on tap yet? If so, do they do growlers of this?
