2nd time in this wonderful state of awesome and generous BAs. I am so excited!!!!
Me and gf will be out for release on 2nd, and hitting de garde on Saturday.
On me if you want to share some good stuff or do an op trade/share at upright or de garde. Also planning to hit HOTD, cascade, and some of the local bottle shops (time permitting).

Off topic: Recommendations for a romantic dinner (ambience/presentation)?

For an amazing dinner that's the right amount of portland chill but world class food, try Ned Ludd. It's romantic without being white table cloth cheesy and the drink menu is extremely well put together.

Le pigeon is fantastic, especially if you get a seat at the bar.
Ava jeans is really good and fits what you are looking for.
    Bar Avignon doesn't disappoint.
Beast rocks. Check it he menu as it changes each week.

Bar Avignon. Best 'under the radar' PDX restaurant IMO.

Thursday, driving into town (arrive late night, staying at double tree-supposedly not beat neighborhood, though I feel pretty safe in Portland overall. Leaving Sunday. Not looking forward to drive in and out from and to San francisco. :-/

Ned Ludd was awesome. Went last time we visited in '13.
Beast looks the most interesting, though the most expensive.
Hearing two people mention Bar Avignon peaks my interest.
Le Pigeon looks like a good balance between Bar Avignon and Beast.
Thank you all for the recommendations.
Looking forward to sharing a few things in line at Fantasia (I assume that's allowed since it's indoors?).

    Those are my mules. Hahaha...kidding.
I find that Oregon releases tend to be pretty chill, and the BAs friendly and generous as hell.
With 3/person, it lasted a few days last time. Supposedly more was made this year.
I'm mainly looking forward to the $3 taps of Fantasia from years past (even $7-11 would be fair for such a wonderful beer). :-)

Assuming ambiance/presentation and service are important criteria for you, then you may want to consider an "old school" restaurant like Paley's Place over on the West Side. Food is very, very good, and the atmosphere, service and ambiance are about as good as it gets in Portland. It would definitely be my choice to go for a romantic dinner. (frankly, in that regard, Le Pigeon would probably be my last choice, although the food there IS quite good).

I'm sure you know this, but it goes without saying that whether it's Beast, Le Pigeon or Paley's Place, you'll want to be sure to make your reservation well in advance. In fact, if you haven't made it by now, you may well already be too late.

I find myself at Grain and Gristle when I want a good meal in PDX. Alex from upright is a part owner. Super chill, great tap list (5-6 taps only tho), amazing food for the price.

If you can grab one of these that would be swell. Planning a trip to De Garde at least one day while I'm there.

Hitting Fantasia Friday (won't be there as soon as I'd like, but should be fine nonetheless). Hitting De Garde Saturday (called in advance...nice people, very informational, informed me that they expect all bottles to last through weekend). Love that Portland is not as crazy as CA for releases. Much more relaxed and friendly. Considering a job in PDX, Seattle, Chicago, or NY after having travelled and spent time at each. Weather is the main factor keeping me put. Looking forward to this trip. :-)

Anyone down for a private whale share? Looking for DBH, KBBS, Framboos...I can post Chez, Rare, Cable Car, OGV, Fou, West Ashley, and many others. I don't see you guys often. So, I figure, make the most of it, right? If not, down to bring some awesome stuff just to try Upright, De Garde, and Fresh Boneyard stuff before/after HotD and Cascade.
