I want to get ahold of a Fantasia, but it always eludes me. I've had a few 'almosts' but alas...it just never happens. What is it taking to get these done?

I too have tried a couple of times, but have had no luck. My ISO's have produced crickets...

I haven't gotten a nibble yet for a King Henry bottle for bottle at DLD :slight_frown:

I think it's hard to track down at this point because (1) PDX traders are inundated with good beer and trade less of it away than people do in some other parts of the country and (2) people are [rightly?] drinking them up fresh, although I know there are still a decent number of bottles out there.

I traded a 2009 LP Framboise and 750ml Tilquin for three bottles of Fantasia right after the release. I received another as part of a package deal, where I was trading one rarer beer for Fantasia, King Henry, and Damon.

I traded away one bottle for a B5 Beatification and a Pliny (his $4$ gesture). I drank the other three.

    Good luck on the searches!

Thank you for the help Michael. I must also thank you for the taste from the bottle you brought to the shop. Your generosity leads me to my search...

Glad you enjoyed it! I'm confident you'll track down a few bottles given what you're offering.

Well I'm competing with a million people from Chicago, so no big surprise. I'm sure I could land a bottle if I posted an ISO

I landed multiple bottles of Beatification with Fantasia as the centerpiece. I have two more bottles left, but it'd really take a big offer for me to let go of those.

I traded 2 bottles of Fantasia for 3 bottles of Beatification and a Pliny.

As others have said, those living in Portland have a crazy amount of beer at their disposal and tend to drink their beer rather than trade it. In the past few weeks we've had Blend Love, Cascade Blueberry, The Vine and an Upright BA Apricot released. I'm sure there are others as well, I just don't have the time to follow them all.

A week before the release I set up a pre-trade where I sent two bottles of Alpine Expo for a bottle and some random other Boulevard beer. This was before the hype train took off from the station on this beer.

I have a few bottles left of Fantasia. The beer is just fantastic making it very hard to trade what I have left to be honest. I have traded away 12 other bottles and partially regret some of the bottles I got in return after growing quite fond of the beer since opening a few. I might use one bottle as ammunition to get one of the beers I have been dying to get my hands on and have eluded me.

What is this beer that has eluded you?

Well I have been dying to try beers such as; RARE, DL variants, Izzy, DDG, Churchill's finest, black note, Damon, BA Hunahpu etc. Not saying Fantasia 1 for 1 with these bottles is fair by any means, but I feel that Fantasia would be some good ammunition to potentially land me something along those lines.

Churchill's, black note and damon sure, rare maybe but the others are a stretch. Fantasia would pretty much be the bottle that pushes someone over the fence but you have to get them to that fence first.

I definitely agree with that statement. I am saving my last bottles for that reason.

Living in the Portland area, we are lucky that is for sure. I've traded away a few bottles of my fantasia stash at this point, and to be honest if you really want to try this beer trade for it NOW. Don't sit on it, drink it right away. In my opinion it's wonderful peach flavor up front is mellowing. I believe fantasia to now be on the decline (still fabulous at this time)

It can pull crazy bottles, when you put up a FT: Fantasia thread, be prepared to wade through 30-40 BM's in the first few hours alone.

I traded my entire case, minus the one bottle I am going to drink myself, to my regular traders. Man, sometimes I miss Portland.
