Fantasy Baseball '13--Keeper League, Year 2

There is a need to fill at least one slot in our BA league from last year. I would like to do some screening now and then have a list ready once we have a final tally on how many spots are open. Here is some info about the league:

• Fantasy baseball knowledge a must

• Must either know me, traded with me, or be able to supply 2 references of vets on BA to me. I will follow up on these, so they must be active people with a quality rep.

• Must be willing to be active during the entire season and commit to a keeper format for next years. I do not want to replace guys every year.

• All teams will have a keeper list of available players from last year. If there is only one team available, you will get that team and its available keepers. If there is more than one team, BA's will be randomly assigned from the teams available, so you may get a team with strong keepers or not.

• Beer payouts TBD, but at most, plan on being able to pony up at least 2 quality limited release/limited dist. beers of desire to others as your ante. You will have until the end of this month to trade for some if you don't have any and need them. Examples would be: Darkness, Hunaphu, Sexual Choc., HF, etc. At a minimum, be able to provide 100 oz. of high quality locals

• Format is a standard snake-style, roto, 5X5, with 12 teams. Teams are allowed to keep a max of 3 players for 3 years in the round selected, but keeping players is not mandatory. Rosters were somewhere between 23 and 25 per team. We used Yahoo as our website last year. I will know better this year once all of the sites put up their leagues to see which is the easiest to use for our purposes.

If interested, apply within. The league will vote based on applicants. Plan on knowing by the end of this month.

 

Just to give you an idea of keepers available on two teams that need filling, that are quality keepers for their round:

Team 1: Votto (R1), Reyes (R2), Price (R5), Hanson (R9), Morales (R12), Dunn (R13)
Team 2: Braun (R1), Cano (R2), Mauer (R10), Encarnacion (R17), Victor Martinez (R20)

Nonsense! We can be in the same 3 leagues then! You commish that one, I commish this one...and then we dominate the auction league!
