Wanted to do something different, and I know it is last minute, but I was hoping to find 9 other BA's that wanted to have some fun. Here are the rules: The concept is the same as fantasy football, but the goal is to pick the worst fantasy team. League will have 10 teams and everyone will send quality local beer to someone else. How much and to whom is based on final standings. Each team must field a QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, K, DEF/ST. QB, TE, and K must be listed as team starters, WR must be listed in top 3 depth chart, and RB must be top 2 depth chart. Players must be signed by a team, cannot start players on bye, injured, or not signed. Same for Defense on bye. 10 point penalty for each infraction. This will be a roto style point accumulation, with no playoffs and playing the entire 17 weeks of the season. Payouts: 1st place will win 130 oz from 10th place 2nd place will win 120 oz from 9th place 3rd place will win 110 oz from 8th place 4th place will win 100 oz from 7th place 5th place will win 90 oz from 6th place 6th place will win 80 oz from 5th place 7th place will win 70 oz from 4th place 8th place will win 60 oz from 3rd place 9th place will win 50 oz from 2nd place 10th place will win 40 oz from 1st place Swag encouraged, but not mandatory and can send over the number of ounces, but have to send at least what is listed. Will likely do a mid-season random BIF or something special for the playoffs. The goal here is to have fun and talk about how shitty your team is, but please plan on sending a box that you would want to get from someone else. blah. Just finished my "bad quarterback league" draft for the year and would be in for this 100% if I was open during draft time. This seems like a blast.
Thursday night I'll be bottling some homebrew (some of which will probably find its way to you in October if it turns out to be as good as it seems to be so far). I can probably make that work more easily, but definitely can't be open before 8pm Eastern on Thurs, and definitely wouldn't want to move the draft if it messed with others' abilities to participate.
I have had a few people state that they were interested, but can't draft tonight. I am going to set up another league with draft date tbd. Even if we only get 6 or 7 people, we can modify payouts. I don't mind drafting on Saturday night and tomorrow's game is just a gimme as to what you would get if you choose to start those players. I will set up new league after work and we can discuss draft date/time.
Looking for at least 2 more people. We can then modify the rules to start 2 QB's instead of 1. If we can get 4 people, that would be great. We can set a draft date/time once we get a few others.
