Hi all, Fantasy hockey beertrade league in it's 5th season needs some replacement owners. At the end of the season when the winners are determined, all teams (winning and losing) will send a package of beer to the winners. The package will be $35 worth of beer with at least one can/bottle rated 4.3 on beer advocate. The rest of the package will be filled with local beers that are locally/state distributed and are rated 4.0+ on BA. Porch bombs encouraged! If you're not sure of something just ask the person you're shipping to if they're okay with it. Let me know if you think there are beers out there that should fit into this but don't. I will assign packages to winners by location so that if, for example, two people live in CT and one wins, the other doesn't send them a package. The number of prizes per winner will be determined when we get a final team listing. In the past (12 teams) we paid out to five spots: 1st (5), 2nd (3), 3rd (1) in the playoffs and 1st (2) & 2nd (1) during the regular season.*** Unfortunately we've a had a couple times where someone did not ship. They were banned from /r/beertrade and this league. Unfortunately many of the rep sites are being shut down. Because of this, I'm going to require that all new participants have 10+ trades on BA OR have to pay $50 up front. When their package is delivered they will get it all back. If not, the winner will get $35 in the form of something beer related (gift card to a brewery, home brew store, etc) and I will take $15 for dealing with the pain in the ass. We typically do H2H scoring but this year we're going to go with roto so that cancelled games don't affect the standings much, especially when it comes to goalie starts. ***If the season ends early: If it ends before week 8, everyone will ship and receive 1 package. If it ends after week 8, winners will be assigned at the ending standings for places 1-3.
