I just grabbed a couple bottles of this... has anyone had this, seen a review of it, etc?

I think this topic is the first time this beer is being mentioned on here. Fire it open and you tell us!

Considering you are from Ohio and Ohio seemed to have received a decent amount of the extra sour original creation before. Can you give us any heads up on price, amount of bottles the store had, etc? Or was this an online purchase?

That is not the one the OP is referring to. There is a new 2013 one that is advertised as dark but not stout dark and brewed with tea.

I wouldn't necessarily assume that. The descriptors used for the 2013 batch (i.e. "black dark" and "tea") have me thinking that this is a markedly different brew than last year's (probably one of the best saisons I've ever had).

Sounds delicious, but I wouldn't hold much stock in this having quite the same profile as the "original".

    I guess they're technically both saisons....but....yeah.....

I ordered on etre. Yes the dark with tea is what I was referring to. I haven't heard a peep about it so just curious. I was planning on opening one at DLD and trading the other. Also was curious what people think about the trade value?

At the expense of making myself seem like an asshole, I will be a straight shooter here with you.

There is no way to seriously answer your question about trade value at this time.
    1. This thread is probably the first time many have heard of this beer.
    2. Noone who write reviews has tried it yet to even state if its good and worth seeking out.
    3. Dany has had some interesting (and by some regards not too desireable results with recent batches) see also: new design label saison, hiver and printemps

Those items mentioned above would lead one to think it is "worth" what you paid for it.

    1. Its a Fantome
    2. Its limited I am sure
    3. Might not ever be made again
    4. Is the conclusion to his "set" of 4 unique offerings that started with Clos Preal

Those 4 might make it more desireable/sought after for a Fantome fan who might not had the chance to get it.
