Just tried this tonight and have to say, sure seems to be underated with an 83 here on BA. I was very impressed- citrus hop flavors packing a punch! I only picked up a single and will definitely be looking out for it. I would be curious to hear some other opinions, what might be dragging it down and where it is available!

I also like this, and I'm not really an IPA guy

Had it at the Fargo airport and it was okay at best. Maybe it was old but without bottle dating, there's no way to know. If it was a pale ale, itwould be alright but not nearly hoppy enough for an IPA. Just my opinion.

If it was in a bottle, it was contract brewed by Sand Creek in Wisconsin and their quality control was lacking and their system would now allow for the dry hopping that Fargo Brewing wanted. Thus those older brews were not that great and got lower ratings dragging down the average.

Now that they are brewing it themselves at their own brewery in Fargo where they have control, it is a much better beer. So try the canned version and if you like it and rate it, the average should go up.

Do they even still bottle? That would have to be a pretty old bottle would it not? I agree. Much, much better since they brewed on-site. I had a nice whit of their on tap in Brainerd and I'm hoping to see it in cans this summer. Very good.

Nope, no more bottles, just cans. Anything in a bottle is very old and should be skipped. Everything else out there on tap or in cans is brewed in Fargo. I think they are just moving into the Duluth area market this week.

I don't think they are planning on canning their White ale. They did start canning their Iron Horse APA which is quite tasty and I think their Sodbuster Porter was the next one to be canned.

I guess I'll need to try the cans. The beer that I had was from the bottle last summer.

Good to know- thanks for the explanation. The beer I had was canned ( and nice cans BTW!). I am glad I did not check the ratings on this one as it may have steered me away, which is a whole different conversation! Hope to see more of it in stores soon!
