Went to Vintage Chanhassen (great store for you SW folks) to pick up some Lazy Loon lager and picked up some Fargo Brewing "Sod-Buster" porter while I was there. I'm very impressed with the Sod-Buster. It compares favorably with the last porter I had -- Flat Earth Cygnus. Going on a weekend camping trip I would be happy to take a 6 of this along with Summit Saga and Bent Paddle Black (I need short cans).

Anyone else have the Sod-Buster or any of the other Fargo brews? Be interest in hearing what you all thought. They seem to rate pretty well here.

Sodbuster is my favorite offering of theirs. I have only had it at the brewery - must be a pretty recent thing that they're now bottling it. None of their other offerings resonated with me as much as the porter. I do know a lot of people who really like Stone's Throw.

Just had a Sod-Buster the other night, also enjoyed it. I think all the current canned offerings are pretty solid -- Stone's Throw, Iron Horse, and Woodchipper (you HAVE to like that one, just for the name!)

Fargo Brewing is doing some great things now that they are brewing at their facility. I drank the hell out of the Iron Horse Pale Ale over the summer. Great aroma and juicy hops to that one. Can't do much better than that for an apa. I had their whit on tap and it was really top notch(I'm hoping for cans next summer) and also had their ofest on tap as well and that was solid.....Woodchipper is a solid IPA and probably better and Sod Buster a real nice porter.

I definitely enjoy their beers. They always seem to have something cool on cask there as well. Woodchipper is delicious, but probably the ugliest beer I've ever seen. It looks like the muddy/clay water in the Red River. Maybe that's what they were going for. Anyway, I hope for their continued success.
