My favorite single IPA and one of my favorite beers, period. Enjoy.

When I was in college in Oxford, Ohio, I was able to get it for 7.99/4 pack and I lived on it. I was spoiled and I didn't know it. Now I live in Michigan where it isn't distributed, so I can only get it a few times a year when I get to Ohio. Fortunately, though, Michigan has some great IPAs of their own. Anyway, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. It is an amazing IPA.

My sister and her husband live in the Valley Forge area and I was out there this past weekend. I stopped at this beer place in Ardmore and paid something like 16 for a 6 pack of Jai Alai. I never had it before and was looking for Russian River stuff to try. I was thoroughly disappointed to have to "settle" for Jai Alai.

    O..M..G..

Jai Alai completely blew me away and I am thrilled to have stumbled upon it. Headhunter is like $9.99 here so I will gladly trade whenever the mood strikes if you enjoy Headhunter like everyone else seems to. The craft scene in Pittsburgh is shit. Philly is much better for variety.

Really good yeah, but don't set your expectations too high. Most beers will disappoint you if you get too hyped.

Very solid beer. Probably my favorite IPA out of ohio followed by white rajah. Both solid but head hunter is just a tier above. Love this beer wish it was available in MI

I don't get the hype for this one.

I thought it was decent, but I thought White Rajah blew it out of the water, personally.

White Rajah is my local go to. Head Hunter is a great IPA and I like it because I can trade it for others locals such as Pliny, Heady Topper, Jai Alai, Gandi Bot and Zombie Dust. If you have those I will gladly send you some Head Hunter!

Hard to say where it ranks, but I would put Head Hunter among the top IPAs in the state, along with Rhinegeist Truth, White Rajah, PsycHOPathy, etc.

Preferences. Personally I think Rajah is a glass of pure cat piss like every other Citra-heavy IPA. To each his own.

I'd love to see what you think of Knee Deep Simtra then :stuck_out_tongue:

OP, you are getting shafted with that price. But yes, you'll be blown away. Head Hunter is one of the best IPA's I've had to date, regardless of where it was from. It's even been better than some DIPA's I've had (I'm looking at you, Pliny).

Not to be an ass but just crack one open and try it. I first had it at Fat Head's a few years ago when I was new to the craft beer scene. It was a bit much for me then. Now I will put it up against any IPA out there and I have tried ALOT of IPAs. I am spoiled and get fresh growler fills regularly. World class in my opinion.

Are you allowed to ship beer within PA? I know you can't have it shipped into the state, but is cross state different??

A bitter, very fragrant bomb. Enjoyed side by side with Sucks earlier this year-quite similar.

Big dank IPA from the Columbus and Simcoe hops....one of the very best of that style.
Reminds me a bit of Deviant Dale's....two of my favorites.

That's quite a gouge. It retails here for 9.99/4pack.
