Have been enjoying this all summer. Like being able to get it a few days old at Middleburg most visits.

Now ready for some real hops. Anyone hear about the August release of Hop Juju? Was in the release calendar for this month.

It’ll be worth it. Centennial Wet Hop Stalker is in the tanks. SNOBs 30th anniversary Wet Hop going down shortly. Also some other tricks and treats in store for hop heads!! Should be a September to remember.

Are they packaging/distributing any hop stalker this year?

Probably close since a new pineapple mango variant is on tap at Middleburg. Noticed the abv is listed at 9,5 instead of the 9 specified over the years. Slight recipe change to the base juju or a typo on the beer list?

Probably just the fruit additions (fruit = additional sugar = more alcohol). That's my guess.

Just curious, but how did they dry hop a "wet hop" beer? Re-circ with more wet hops or did they use pellets?

Not 100% but I think they brew and boil hop (or flame out) with wet, fresh hops then they dry hop later. I believe they use whole leaf not pellets, but the dry hops are added later on (in this case 2.5 weeks ago).

BTW the beer is out- cans are available to the beer hall now!!

Hows it compare to hop stalker and does anyone know if it'll see distro?

I heard market district might get some. Seems smoother than stalker to me. Real easy going down, not much bitterness. Don’t know that’s from being so fresh. Canned this morning.

I did a side by side last night and thought SNOBS was fruitier and a bit less bitter. There actually was not a huge difference between the two, maybe due to both being dry hopped with Centennial. I prefer Stalker more, but again, not a huge difference between them; both are very good.

It’ll see distro. To answer your question, it’s exactly what was stated below. I didn’t do them side by side but i had a few Hop Stalkers Sunday and the SNOB collab last night. SNOB is slightly less aggressive but still super tasty

Tried them both tonight while watching the shit show. Snobs is more enjoyable in my opinion but they are both good.

Bottled JuJu available in stores now. Must say that I’m not bummed about it being packaged in bottles. Almost novel these days...

For anyone who hadn't seen it already, here's next year's release calendar:

Understandably I'm sure it will draw the same complaints about style representation as this year's did. Glass half full, Secret Hoperations with Breakside should be really good, and I'm happy that Strange Magic will still be around (I kind of thought it would be completely supplanted by Groovy Juice).

On a more positive note, Hoppy Holihaze is fantastic. I think it's the best hazy IPA they've packaged (though I guess that's the loosest sense of "hazy" since I suspect this uses the house ale yeast unlike Groovy Juice and Hazy Ei8ht). It's a really nice reminder of how rye IPAs should still be a common thing.
