    I'm perfectly fine with no one talking about this beer. Can't wait for people to even talk less about this beer once it is released 4x a year. :sunglasses:

    That's great to hear. Never had Younger, but Elder I have of course (including twice at RR). Elder is good, but Head Hunter is an easy win for me there as well.

    Went to Middleburg last night and had JuJu. Agreed that it is better than ever. Got a growler and will buy a case of cans minimum when they hit here. I used to consider Chillwave and JuJu about equal-not even close this year.

    Had Chillwave on tap at Great Lakes on Monday and it was really good, but JuJu is a clear winner for sure. It was the best Chillwave I've tasted, I admit... But also the first time having it on draft that I can recall vs. bottle or whatever. Big difference for them, as I find all their bottled stuff to be lackluster for whatever reason (oxidation issues?). Even fresher stuff.

    I seriously think there's something to be said about their bottle caps too. I have thousands upon thousands of caps, and theirs seem to be the only ones that get horribly rusty, and very quickly at that.

    That is very interesting! I never buy their beer, but it wouldn’t surprise me if that is the issue. To me, it definitely seems like everything is always oxidized that I've had in bottles, so if the cap is cheap or poorly made, that would be the reason. Most all breweries seem to use those oxygen absorbing caps with that plastic/rubber membrane between the cap material and the beer itself. While no bottle cap eliminates oxidation, a proper cap definitely helps!

    I can tolerate GL's stuff on tap, but avoid their packaged stuff at all costs. Funny thing is, our visit to GL on Monday was our first visit ever (even living only 10 minutes away). Basically hit the expectations (beer was better than expected, but the atmosphere is eh...), not a fan of the vibe personally. I can appreciate what it is, though. Didn't love the overwhelming fried food smell in the place, either.

    I've never had Chillwave on tap, that is interesting. Last night was also the first time I had JuJu on tap and was just blown away.

    @BeerseAnyone

    The cans are just as good! Too bad Juicy JuJu wasn’t on anymore... That thing lasted nearly a month on tap, which is crazy considering in the past it was lucky to last a few days. They did make an entire brite tank of it though (15-bbl or so I believe) compared to what they would make at the taphouse and North Olmstead.

    Good news is with JuJu coming out quarterly now, we should see various variants of Juicy far more often (according to my source). Being the best DIPA’s available, this is very awesome and welcome news.

    I saw the Juicy was on a while back and wanted to make it up there but didn't. The new facility is already yielding great things with the quarterly JuJu for sure!

    Has there been any announcement about the yearly mystery can that was coming into focus in February?

    Not officially, but I was told the name a few weeks back (don't remember now, though... Doh!) and it would be similar to the experimental IPA's (#1 or #2) they have done lately on tap. A mid-level IPA that is a little less aggressive and more 'juicy'.

    I was told the name too and can't for the life of me remember.. probably because they specifically said not to tell anyone!

    I was told the ABV was going to be similar to sunshine and will be more like a session IPA. So it sounds like we may have gotten conflicting stories hahah.

    @Sorithin

    I forgot the name almost instantly when I was told, haha. Mainly because it was louder and I didn’t hear it super clear, either.

    Not really conflicting stories it sounds like?

    I heard the same about ABV… Which is why I said a “mid-level” IPA, that meant in terms of ABV. Not as high as say Head Hunter. And experimental #1 was a session, while #2 was an IPA… Somewhere in the middle of those two was at least the hints I received for this final beer. But still a lower bitterness, more "juicy" IPA on that session-IPA side of the spectrum.

    Either way, we should see soon enough!

    Ah my bad. I haven't had any of their experimentals yet, so I didn't know #1 was a session.

    They got 4 days to announce it though! :slight_smile:

    Unless people are talking to Matt or one of the other owners, I would take anything with a grain of salt.

    Definitely wasn't Matt I talked to. It was the guy that runs the canning line.

    I was looking at the blurred image, long shot.... But I can almost see ‘Strange Magic’ I don’t know if it’s my eyes or just that I have been listening to ELO lately. I don’t even know if that would clear copyright © anyway.

    They’re certainly not averse to naming beers after songs.
