Wasn't Strange Magic supposed to be released in March?

 

It was "coming into Focus in February"... they announced the name the very last day of February lol and I saw somewhere it was being released "this spring". Pretty vague, so technically that gives them 2.5 more months before it could be released. The cashier at the merch shop said it will be released "soon"... they already have Strange Magic koozies for sale in the merch shop.

 

Sorry, mixed up the beers! It was Starlight, not Jack Straw.

 

Picked up a sixer of Starlight yesterday and damn, best it’s ever tasted IMO! I was really impressed… Having this quality of a Helles year round, so fresh and close to home is always a welcome.

Can’t wait for Goggle to come out soon as well. Between Starlight and Goggle, those will be two awesome go-to summer brews… Especially paired with the hoppier offerings as well. Trail Head & JuJu were both top notch (I have been sticking to the canned options when buying stuff to go). I think they had a rough start on the new brewing system at first as they learned it, but now they are pumping out equal or better quality than they were at the old location.

Looking forward to the upcoming beers (in the minority I’m sure for these styles!). It’s just so damn refreshing to not see 8 types of IPA’s on this board, or overly sweet pastry stouts... FH does it right.

 

Are the Starlight cans in stores yet or did you buy them at the brewery?

 

I got mine at the brewery, but they are already in stores. Saw them at Mack's the same day.

 

Happy to see a kolsch on there! Such an underrated beer type and the saloon does them well, so I'm looking forward to trying it.

In other news, looks like that outdoor bar/patio is getting close to being done within the next few weeks I’d assume. I am excited for that, looks like a cool little space when the weather is nice. Rumor is it will be dog friendly as well? Or am I imagining that part?

 

Yesss finally!!! Not sure about the dog part, but I'd find it odd if it weren't.

 

It will be dog friendly, at least from what I've been told. After all, the Olmsted patio welcomes dogs, so it only makes sense to be the same. But with Fat Head's, one never knows

Is there a description of the beer, or is it just a strange magic beer?

 

I don't totally understand the point of hyping it up in January for an announcement in February, only to release cans in June. Couldn't they have just announced it when it was ready?

 

No description lol. But Matt knows his way around a hop, so I'm sure it'll be great!

 

Yeah it's not like it was barrel aged with peeps and banana runts and will be a 1pp in person release on Easter day...

 

Peeps are disgusting. Chewy Runts on the other hand...

 

I hate Peeps, but in beer...? It's a love hate relationship, I'm working through it with my therapist.
