I'll be traveling to Fat Head's later this month. I've heard really good things about their beer and their food. I was curious, do they fill only their growlers or can I take a growler I already have?

Also, has anyone been to their bottle shop? Any good?

    Thanks guys!

There bottle shop isn't huge but has a decent selection. Not sure about the growler. Their food is fantastic pub grub.

The bottle shop is small, but normally has a few carefully chosen bottles. Usually, it is worth a stop if you are already at the bar, but not worth going to on its own.

Fathead's only fills their own Growlers. HOWEVER, they will trade you one of their growlers for one of yours, allowing you to fill one of their growlers with no added cost or deposit. So: Bring a growler that you don't care about keeping + beer $s and leave with a Fathead's logo growler filled with a beer of your choice.

If you have several hours to kill, I also recommend stopping by Smokin Joes about a block down the street. They have a really solid tap selection ad about 100+ bottles too.

+1 for Smokin' Joes. Carson Street Deli on 15th street also has a decent selection with some occasional rarities and might be worth a stop.
