Question for any Pittsburgh person. My daughters boyfriend is coming in from Pittsburgh this weekend, and I want him to bring me some Fatheads beer from the Saloon. I LOVE Head Hunter. So what can he buy there six pack wise? I'm mainly looking for Head Hunter and possibly Hop JuJu (if available), are they both available in six packs to go currently?

Also, do they have a nice stock of T-shirts too? I'd love a Fat Heads t-shirt.

    Thanks!

I was there last night and they had bottles of Head Hunter, Bumbleberry , Sunshine Daydream and cans of Trail Head to go. They might have had Guddenhoppy as well but I don't remember seeing it. Or you could just get a growler of anything on their draft list. They just tapped all 12 Sierra Nevada beer camp beers last night.

FYI - Head Hunter is sold in 4 packs.

They have a decent selection of T-shirts and other merch upstairs.

Great info, thanks. I'm not sure the gowler would travel well in the heat, so I think I have to stick to bottles. So in no JuJu, what else on your bottle list is worth it? Understood on the 4 packs and merch, thanks.

Hop JuJu was released in March-ish? Sold out very fast here in Pittsburgh, even if you found it, its definitely not fresh, wait for next year. I've seen Oompa Loompa Chocolate Cream stout floating around at a few Giant Eagles. I haven't seen Guddenhoppy yet this year. Octoberfest will probably be out in late Aug/Sept range. And their pumpkin beer Spooky Tooth is in Sept/Oct.

Head Hunter is available everywhere in Pittsburgh. It's very easy to find fresh, not just from the saloon. $9.99 a 4pk everywhere. Sunshine Daydream is a nice easy drinker. I haven't had Trail Head yet but with that hop profile, I am dying to try it. IBUsive is supposed to be as good as Hop JuJu (hard to believe as JuJu is likely the best IPA I've ever had; better than Pliny, Heady, Abrasive, Dreadnaught, etc. As good as Permanent Funeral.) but it's draft/growler only and not an everyday.

Gudenhoppy is a nice hopped up German pils. I enjoy it. He might be able to find a 6er at the saloon but that's not something that finds its way into distro too much.

Thanks for the comments, I'll see what he can grab. Thanks, how I wish they came to eastern PA.
