Has anyone had fatheads sunshine daydream session ipa? Looking to brew something similar. This is the info the brewery provides.

    sunshine daydream session IPA
Award-Winning Session IPA with big hop aromas, flavors of citrus, peach, orange and tropical fruit with a nice light malt backbone. This is a very drinkable session ale. (Our fans call it an obsession.) Peace, Love & Hoppiness!

Here’s my draft for a 5.5 gallon batch at 78% efficiency. Any thoughts on the grain or hop bill?

I mean ya I don’t see anything that pops out as crazy. I’ve never had the beer but with those ingredients and a good process I don’t see why you wouldn’t have a tasty beer. The New England yeast is going to be more expressive so it it won’t get that close but you may end up liking it better.

It a really nice, crisp flavorful session ipa. If you’re ever in Cleveland or Pitt seek it out fresh. Thanks for the input

That yeast will drastically change the end result.

I drink sunshine quite often (phenomenal pale!) and you need that Cali Ale yeast if you want anything close. I'd suggest in the very least buying and pitching a pack of US-05 if you can instead. Will get too many esters from an English Ale based yeast strain for this beer.

Water profile wise, I know FH uses a very aggressive sulfate water profile for Head Hunter. I assume the same goes for Sunshine.

The water profile for Head Hunter has a 15:1 SO4:Cl ratio. 365ppm SO4, 24ppm Cl.

I do my WC IPA's with the same water profile with great results. Thankfully, being in Cleveland I have the same base water, so adjustment is easy on my end. Nobody does WC IPA better IMO than Fat Heads!

Wow that is definitely an intense water profile. I build from ro. I can certainly try Chico or cal ale strain, I just had a packet of conan on hand.

Grain and hop bill look reasonable? Thanks!

So I ended up brewing this and it turned out excellent. Definitely going to re-brew but it turned out damn close from what I remember. For a session the malt bill is nice and complex and my hop schedule is close. Might bump up the mosaic and citra and back off the centennial next batch. Water profile is nice for a west coast. Used us-05 and nailed the fatheads fg spot on.
