I'll be in Barcelona, so I will not be there this year. Father's Day at BierCab and Ale & Hop!

I'll be missing it this year due to my recent move to Portland. Will plan on getting back for the 2016. It's always been my favorite Washington Beer festival.

First time missing it in 8 years. Will have to drinking my last local craft beer to feel at home. If I was in Seattle I would probably be at the U.S. Open with my Dad all weekend anyways

Going Friday. Date night with my wife.
Went Sunday with my dad, wife and kids last year. It was fun but I think it will be more relaxing not having to keep track of rugrats.

Looks like the beer list is awesome! Last year was my first time going and I was blown away with the choices.
Not to mention yummy food trucks.

I love going with my daughter. Spain (and Brussels and Amsterdam) will be a blast, but this is the first year I haven't gone.

am i the only one who thinks it is not a great festival and definitely not worth the drive for someone who lives in seattle?

I think it's a lot of fun, and I've been exposed to lots of Eastern Washington breweries through it.

Family friendly fun and beer? Yes. Not everything needs to be whalezbro.

I've always had a fun time, even the rainy ones. Well worth the price of admission and the hassle of getting over there.

I think it's a great fest. Plenty of room, always plenty of interesting beers (look at the taplist, there's something for everybody, from walezbro hunter to noob), and the chance to try a lot of breweries that we don't get to see a lot. Last year, they had the breweries organized by geography, which made it a lot easier to find a given brewery. I spent a lot of time at the Eastern WA tent.

If it's worth the drive down from Bellingham, it's worth driving out of the city for, IMHO.

I look forward to this festival every year, and have volunteered at several. I feel it offers a nice variety of beer, and I always get my money's worth. The crowd is always great as well.

good to know. i am spoiled living on lower queen anne and rarely drive anywhere so driving to redmond is a bit of a trek when compared to my normal weekend diving (which is none) but maybe i will make the trip this year given what you said. i trust your opinion.

First time in about 5 years I'm not going. While it's always a pretty solid fest, the last couple years have become a huge cluster. I went on Friday last year which wasn't bad (though weather wasn't great), but the previous two years we went on Saturday and if you don't get there early, you'll be waiting in line to get it. Had two friends that waited nearly an hour to get in on a Saturday afternoon (one even left before getting in after waiting 45 minutes). On the bright side, looks like you all will be looking at some decent weather for it, which is always a bonus.

I've always loved the festival, but never have gone on the weekend. Friday has always been good with the 21+ only crowd.

I went last year and had a fantastic time. This year I am going on Friday since the tap selection is a bit more thrilling. What beers are you guys planning on trying?

Went last night and had fun trying beer and people watching.
Highlights for the wife and I were Fremont gin barrel saison and Skookum Pecan pie porter.
Both were beers we wish we could have a lot more of.
Plenty of excellent beers from other breweries too.
Some I had never heard of.
Had one drain pour...Black Raven Diamond something wit. Really tasted off. :slight_frown:
